Series History

Ohio State leads the all-time series 3–2, and the Buckeyes have won the last two meetings.

Texas won the first ever meeting, 25–22 in Columbus in September 2005, on a Vince Young touchdown pass to Limas Sweed with 2:37 left in front of what was then a record Ohio Stadium crowd of 105,565. The Longhorns finished that season 13–0 and won the national championship. Ohio State took the return leg in Austin a year later, 24–7, in a No. 1 versus No. 2 matchup.
